4G Smart Padlock
A 4G smart padlock for the gates, fences and cabinets nobody stands guard over: telecom base stations, substations, railway access points and roadside cabinets. It reports over its own 4G link, so a cut or pry attempt reaches the platform at once, and it opens only on a command the platform has authorised.
A padlock that tells you who opened the gate
A mechanical padlock on a remote fence tells you nothing until someone drives out to look at it. This one reports every opening, every closing and every attack.
No key to copy or lose
There is no mechanical cylinder. The lock opens only on an AES-128 encrypted command authorised by the platform, for a named person, a lock and a time window.
Cut and pry alarm
Built-in sensors detect a cut shackle or a pry attempt. The alarm goes out over 4G straight away, without waiting for the next scheduled report.
Own 4G connection
Each lock carries a standard SIM and reports on its own. No gateway to install and no phone needed to relay an alarm.
Both ends on the record
Locking goes through the app as well as unlocking, so the platform knows who closed the gate, when and where, not only who opened it.
False-lock protection
A seating sensor confirms the shackle is fully home before the lock reports "locked". A shackle that only looks closed is caught before the engineer leaves.
No wiring, no charging
A primary lithium cell runs the lock for over 12 months at normal use. The bay is opened on site with the supplied spanner; nothing is sent back to the factory.
Built for sites that no one watches
The engineer arrives, presses the button to wake the lock and requests the unlock in the app. The platform checks the person, the lock and the time window, then sends the command over 4G straight to the lock or through the phone over Bluetooth. When the job is done, the engineer closes the shackle and taps Lock.
There is no GPS in this lock. A gate does not move, so the lock does not pay the battery cost of tracking itself. If the lock must report where it is, see the GPS padlock.

Frequently asked questions
Can the padlock be unlocked remotely?
Yes, in the sense that matters on an unattended site: the decision is made remotely. Access is granted on the platform to a named person for a set time window, and the unlock command reaches the lock over 4G or through the phone over Bluetooth.
Someone still has to be at the lock to wake it with its button and lift the shackle. That person needs no key and no code, and the authorisation can be withdrawn at any moment.
Does every lock need a SIM card?
Yes, one standard SIM per lock, from any operator. The lock is LTE only, so check 4G coverage at the site first. Where there is no coverage, or where many locks sit close together, the LoRa smart padlock runs through one gateway instead.
How long does the battery last?
Over 12 months at normal use, on one ER18505M cell. How often the lock is opened and how often it reports matter more than its 17 µA sleep current, so busy sites see less.
The cell is changed on site with the supplied spanner, and the platform warns of low battery in advance so changes can be planned into routine visits.
Will the shackle fit our hasps?
The shackle is Ø8 mm with 55 mm clearance height and a 30 mm span. Check that the hasp bore and the gap between hasp and door take those sizes. For wide spans or irregular points, the steel-cable version uses the same body with a wire rope.
Can we manage it from our own system?
Yes. Our hosted platform has no platform fee; you can also have the locks report to your own servers or run a dedicated copy of the platform. Integrators receive the advertising specification and a compiled SDK. See Platform & App and how this fits a whole site under utility site access.
Can you put our logo and numbering on it?
Yes. Your logo, lock numbers and QR codes are laser-marked free of charge at any quantity. Changes to the housing itself, such as a new mould, start at 1,000 pcs.
